The Cancer Center of South Florida has officially achieved accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for our Specialty Pharmacy Services. This milestone reflects our continued commitment to excellence in patient care, safety, and quality.
ACHC accreditation is a nationally recognized symbol of quality that proves our dedication to meeting national higher-level standards in specialty pharmacy practice. This recognition not only affirms the strength of our clinical operations but also reinforces the trust our patients and providers place in us every day. It is a testament to our mission to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and coordinated care to those we serve. ACHC is a nonprofit organization that has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986. ACHC is ISO 9001:2015 certified and has CMS deeming authority for Home Health, Hospice, and DMEPOS.
This achievement would not have been possible without the exceptional efforts and leadership of Michael Faltas. Director of Oncology Pharmacy, Samantha Axelrod, Assistant Director of Clinical Pharmacy, who led our preparation and spearheaded the accreditation process with dedication and precision. I also want to extend sincere thanks to Jennifer Lozano-Yohn and our HR Team for their invaluable support throughout the process and to Kim King, Director of Quality and Compliance, whose collaboration and oversight were integral in ensuring we met and exceeded ACHC standards.
With this achievement, we reaffirm our ongoing dedication to excellence in oncology care, setting the standard for the industry and ensuring our patients receive the best possible care.
