Cancer Center of South Florida Patient Resources

Thank you for choosing CCSF and welcome

Our mission of creating a world-class, integrated Cancer Institute for our region, combining interdisciplinary care, clinical excellence, and providing an innovative, patient centric experience in collaboration with an academic partner.

At the Cancer Center of South Florida, we strongly emphasize compassionate and personalized care that focuses on the whole patient. That starts with the experienced specialists we’ve hand selected from around the country to join our collaborative team. Our highly skilled hematology and oncologists’ specialty physicians, nurses, and other professionals work together to recommend the most appropriate treatments.

Your First Visit

During your first office visit, you will be introduced to your whole care team, and we will review the details and treatment options for your diagnosis. Your team will be led by a specialty medical hematology oncology Physician, certified oncology physician assistants, oncology-focused advanced nurse practitioners, and a Registered Nurse navigator. The multidisciplinary team will support your entire care journey from diagnosis to survivorship. At the appointment, we will provide time to answer all your questions, review options, and most importantly, develop your care plan together, ensuring your active involvement in your treatment.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please notify us 24 hours in advance. Our Physicians and their care teams are available at both of our locations, so you can select the most convenient site. If you need to contact a physician prior to your appointment, we have an on-call physician service around the clock.

Please bring the following items to your first appointment:

  1. Medications list including dosages and over-the-counter drugs
  2. Photo identification
  3. Insurance cards
  4. Paper pad and pen

When you arrive at the practice, please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of your appointment to complete any paperwork required. We suggest bringing someone to your appointment to listen to the information shared during your exam, which may also be valuable. Please plan to be at the clinic for at least an hour for your first visit.

Financial and Insurance Support

We will verify your insurance eligibility before your first visit. Following your insurance guidelines, we may collect copayments, deductibles, or co-insurance amounts during your visits. CCSF will file medical claims directly to your insurance plan provider on your behalf. Our support team will ensure you have the lowest possible out-of-pocket expenses. Your insurance provider will send you an Explanation of Benefits directly. If you have any insurance coverage or payment questions, please contact our billing support team at 561-253-3980. A list of insurances we accept can be provided upon request and is available on the website and by request.
